Hawthorn Leaf and Gold Drop Earrings

These hawthorn branch earrings are a celebration of one of my favorite trees. There's so much folklore around hawthorn, as a protector of the heart, and it bringing bad luck to those who chop one down. Much like a rose, these trees have gorgeous blossoms and equally prickly thorns. I like these earrings as a talisman for extra protection for sensitive open hearts. The leaves are cast in silver from a wax I carved. Each earring is 1.25" long and hangs from sterling silver ear wires and come with hand hammered gold fill drops that dangle delicately for extra movement and sparkle.
